The City of Winnfield conducted an emergency preparedness meeting for the upcoming Tropical Storm Francine, Fire Chief Montgomery discussed contingency plans regarding potential power outage, emergency shelter, oxygen tanks and stand-by reinforcement crews for our Electric Department. Sand and sandbags are available at the Grove Street Recreation Center located at 800 N Grove St. pickup will be 8:00am-6:00pm starting today 9/10/2024. The Emergency Shelter will be in operations starting tomorrow morning 9/11/2024 at 7:00am.
The Grove Street Recreation Emergency Shelter will be in operation and available for those in need as the storm moves through the area. This is the contact number for the shelter if needed 318-628-0246.
