The clerk’s office oversees and is responsible for the functions of payroll, accounts payable, accounting for capital assets, insurance, ad valorem tax collection, and annual budgeting as well as divisions of Information Technology. The clerk’s office maintains the accounting records for the General Fund, Utility Fund, Tax Fund and special revenue funds and capital project funds.
Occupational Licenses
The City of Winnfield requests that all new business get an annual occupational license. Our yearly fee rate is $50.00 for any business (new or renewal) from the month of January to December. If you open a business mid-year, the fee is $25.00 for the month of July to December and after operating for 30 days you will be required to submit your total sales from time opened, divided by the number of days in operation to equal total fee owed. Also, I have enclosed a chart that tells a range of fee owed based on sales. I hope that I provided the information that is needed. If any further assistance is needed, please contact Ashley at 318-628-3939.
